Love on Sunday Last Word

This feature by Ryuichi Hiroki (Vibrator and It’s Only Talk) is a contemplative study of the emotional swings of a teenage girl who is dying from cancer. After learning that she has only three months to live, Nagisa (Maki Horikita) goes to her hometown to visit Satoshi (Shunsuke Kubozuka), her first love. As Nagisa stays with him, she finds out about Satoshi’s love affair with a married woman. Slow moving, the film dispenses with melodramatic performances, opting instead for the feel of a home movie.
