Original Aspiration (2018)

In 1949 the People’s Liberation Army got to Xinjiang and established the Xinjiang Military Region where Gan Zuchang served as the Deputy Minister of Logistics. During this time, a war on prices erupted through monopolization of resources. Gan Zuchang did his best to combat this by influencing the market and eventually stabilizing the market. Gan Zuchang became a target and was the victim of a car accident where he suffered head injuries. He was awarded the rank of major general but decided to return to his hometown due to his injuries. There he saw his hometown in poverty and contributed to the economic recovery of his hometown.
